“Say the Rosary every day…
Pray, pray a lot and offer sacrifices for sinners…
I’m Our Lady of the Rosary.
Only I will be able to help you.
…In the end My Immaculate Heart will triumph.”

The Rosary is prayed in community at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church:

  • Monday through Thursday after the 7:30 AM Mass.
  • Friday and Saturday at 8:30 AM before the 9 AM Mass.
  • Also, on the 13th of each month, many faithful gather at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church to pray all four mysteries of the rosary in what is known as the Fatima Rosary.

Our Lady Star of the Sea is a parish dedicated to Mary, the Mother of Jesus Christ and our Blessed Mother. On this page you will find resources to enrich your prayers with and to her, along with Church approved apparitions, Marian feast days, shrines, and church teachings.

Our Lady, Star of the Sea, (from the Latin Stella Maris) is an ancient title for the Blessed Virgin Mary, believed to have its origin in the biblical passage 1 Kings 18:41-45, which mentions a cloud above the sea seen from Mount Carmel that is no bigger than a man’s hand. It was seen as a sign of hope for the end of a long drought. Mary has long been seen as a sign of hope and a guiding star for Christians.
Saint Bernard of Clairvaux wrote in the 12th century:

If the winds of temptation arise; If you are driven upon the rocks of tribulation, look to the star, call on Mary. If you are tossed upon the waves of pride, of ambition, of envy, of rivalry, look to the star, call on Mary. Should anger or avarice or fleshly desire violently assail the frail vessel of your soul, look at the star, call up Mary.”
