Faith Formation is a critical element in who we are as Catholics.

At Our Lady Star of the Sea, we take the obligation to help everyone grow in their knowledge and love of our God very seriously. We offer a variety of programs to help with that process. Our offerings are always under review and programs are added and removed according to their current relevance.

Please take time to review our pages. If you find things of interest try them out. If you would like to see things added please feel free to comment.

Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA)

Tuesdays, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM, Camerman Hall

OCIA is a 9-month process where non-Catholic adults are received into the Catholic Church. It begins with our 11-week Alpha program, which is open to anyone (no matter what faith background) to learn about the Catholic faith and discuss openly on personal views and beliefs. Those who want to learn more and are discerning to be received into the Church will attend the OCIA classes.  Read more about OCIA here.
