Day 1
Arrive to the Holy Land and meet our tour guide who will be our escort throughout the pilgrimage. Depending on arrival time, drive to visit Caesarea Maritima, then drive to Tiberius. Dinner and overnight. (Pilgerhaus requested)
Day 2
Morning boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. Visit Capernaum and the House of Peter. Visit Magdala; the “Jesus’ boat” at Nof Ginosaur; the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes at Tabgha. Then we continue with a visit to St. Peter’s Church on the Sea. Dinner and overnight. (Pilgerhaus requested)
Day 3
Drive to Cana of Galile, the place commemorating the first miracle of Jesus. Drive to Mt. Carmel; visit Baha’i Garden in Haifa; continue to Nazareth to visit the Basilica of the Annunciation, Mary’s Well, St. Joseph Church and the old Synagogue. If visit to Caesarea Maritima did not happen on arrival day, we will visit on this day. Dinner and overnight. (Pilgerhaus requested)
Day 4
Drive to Mt. Tabor to visit the Church of the Transfiguration; visit the baptismal site on the Jordan River; and drive along the Jordan Valley to Jericho (time to relax and swim at the Hotel in the afternoon.) Dinner and overnight in Jericho.
Day 5
Visit Bethany and the Tomb of Lazarus; drive to the Mount of Temptation; Tel Sultan; the sycamore tree of Zacchaeus; caves at Qumran then drive to the Dead Sea for swimming/floating. Drive on to Jericho for dinner and overnight in Jericho.
Day 6
Tour Bethlehem; Nativity Church; Milk Grotto; the Shepherd’s Fields; and the old city of Bethlehem. Enjoy an evening of cultural dinner with folk dancing. Overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 7
Tour the Old City of Jerusalem. Begin with St. Anne Church and the Pool of Bethesda; Chapel of Flagellation; walk the Via Dolorosa to visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher; and visit the Wailing Wall. In the evening join the local families over dinner, overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 8
Drive to the Mount of Olives to enjoy a panoramic view of Jerusalem. Visit the Chapel of Ascension and the Pater Noster Church; walk to Dominus Flevit; the Garden and the Church of Gethsemane; Walk again the Via Dolorosa and discover the stages following the Palm Sunday walk, and tour the old city Bazarr. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 9
Drive to Jerusalem to visit Mt. Zion; Dormition Abby; David’s Tomb; the Cenacle or Upper Room; and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. Explore the Four Quarters of Jerusalem, Free afternoon, then a farewell dinner with overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 10
Drive to Ein Karem to the Visitation Church and Church of St. John the Baptist. Tour the west side of Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Bethlehem.
Day 11
Drive to airport for departure back home.
