Construction Updates

There are many projects and construction going on at our parish! Here are a few updates on these projects we as a parish are funding:

The Camerman Hall construction is scheduled to be complete on September 20. This ACA rebate project will update our kitchen appliances and exhaust system, bringing the kitchen up to code. We have made arrangements with the contractor that will enable us to continue to offer Mary’s Place meals to the community during construction.

St. Francis School

Ugandan School Update

Construction has already begun on St. Francis Primary School and St. John’s Primary School in Uganda. Fr. Justus is truly grateful for your generosity on this ACA rebate project.

The FTV Construction is on schedule to finish at the end of December or beginning of January. The gym will be available to the school by November 1 at the least. Meanwhile, band and PE will have alternate locations. The elevator and Veneta Ave. parking lot are in the design phase to submit to the city for permitting with a tentative start date in March.

If you haven’t yet had an opportunity to support this project, please join us in Fulfilling the Vision for a more attractive and accessible parish campus. Make a one-time or recurring pledge through 2020 to ensure we see the Vision through to completion!

School Chapel Nearing Completion

This year Our Lady Star of the Sea School will be Christ-Centered in a new and meaningful way. Over the summer, dedicated parishioners have been transforming the former resource room into an Adoration Chapel. The tabernacle is on its way and finishing touches are in progress. We expect the chapel to be completed by mid-September and for this to be transformational for our school.

Thanks to everyone who supported this Fund-An-Item project at our SCOPE Auction last April.
