What's important to us? What makes us tick? What's a priority?
This Holy Week I found that a lot of the thoughts, desires, plans, or concerns in the scheme of things are not important.
Every day I go about my day at a frenzied pace trying to keep up with nineteen 7 year olds. I rarely stop and think what's important about this present moment.
This week I have reflected on the different Sorrowful Mysteries, and I found the only thing that should matter in my life is how I am responding to Christ. Is my behavior bringing glory to Christ? Are my thoughts, desires, worries brought before Christ? Does my life reflect the love and holiness of Christ?
I realized that to truly put Christ first He needs to be Lord of not just my prayer time but at every moment of my day. I know this is not simple, yet if I don't strive to be one with Christ I will be missing something that is essential.
I pray that this Triduum will make you stop and think about what's important. We are important to Christ in every way. Throughout this Triduum Christ showed us constantly our importance. Is Christ important to us?
Have a Blessed Triduum and Easter Season!
