Inspired by the Catholics Come Home campaign, on Saturday, March 27, a number of parishioners got together to share about their love for the Catholic Church.
Door To Door
The morning kicked off with parishioners going door to door in the surrounding neighborhoods of the church, inviting residents to Star of the Sea for Holy Week, seeing if they had anything we could pray for, and sharing information about the Catholic faith. The response from residents was very positive! As expected, however, many people were not home, but we came prepared with door hanging bags to leave materials. All in all, it was a great opportunity to plant seeds, and to reach out to those in need of prayer.
Sign Holding
This was a lot of fun. We had about 25 parishioners holding signs which read "I Love My Catholic Faith!", "Honk 4 Jesus", a new banner with our parish name and website, and more. Hymns were sung, and prayers were prayed as many people drove by and smiled, waved, and honked with enthusiasm. You can see more pictures here.
The next opportunity to hold signs and show your love for your faith will be May 22, the Saturday before Pentecost. We hope you can come!
